We are starting out the day with a balmy 10 degrees as a temp. here at the ski center. With temps. forecasted to rise into the upper teens today it is going to be an excellent day to ski at Ole's. We are skiing on around 15+KM of trail. Open terrain is skiing very well for both classic and skate skiing. An evening skate ski last night was really fun. There will be fresh grooming on all open terrain this morning. Come up and enjoy the trails. Yet another 10 day stretch of great winter weather/skiing is in store for us. We have some great options for snowshoeing as well. See you up here.

This morning it was probably the coldest it has been so far this season. 16 below at my house around 6AM. This is maybe the coldest temps we have seen in a few years. Really nice to see this cold weather . This is how it should be!
The sun is out in full force and the wind is down (at the moment.) Temps will rise well tnto the double digits today. That sun will make it feel much warmer too. This is perfect skiing weather. Depsite the apocalyptic wind chill forecast sent out by the weather dudes, if you dress for it there is no better weather for Nordic Skiing. I did about 10KM last night before I left and It was awesome. I was over dressed acutally.
 Come get your glide on. Woodstove is cranking, hot drinks, snacks, cooler drinks upstairs and a warm ski lodge to relax in. See you all up here.
Forecast shows a another 10 day stretch of excellent winter weather. You gotta' love it. See you all soon.
Open Trails include
#2,#3#4,#5,#7 out to #4/#4A.and #11 Rock n' Roll. All open trails are skiing nicely and have good to great coverage. #5 in the woods is a little dippy and maybe getting a bit thin from the bridge to the farm fields heading north but is in reasonable shape and very ski-able.
Note: There is active logging occurring out behind the farm. Follow signs and re routes. Give way and yield to all equipment and vehicles. In short stay out of the way. Good skiing to find out there however. Stop in for details if necessary.

Yesterday was a chilly one but the skiing was great. With the sun and proper attire it was quite nice. Anyways, this is Nordic Skiing not waterskiing, it's supposed to be cold! Stay moving and stay warm. Keep gliding sessions short, take time to appreciate the wood stove, then resume gliding.
We had a great holiday weekend up here. Thanks to all who came up and skied it up! Air Wylie got his gliding in. Fueled by hot chocolate and chicken and dumplings. The lunch of champions.
   Today and tomorrow are forecasted to be chilly. If the wind doesn't pick up too much then things will be "not that bad". A nice reprieve from the temps coming on Thursday. Later in the week and next weekend, at the moment look to be another great one.
     Fresh grooming this morning close in to the Ole's Base. Things should still be in great shape since yesterday. Come up if you've got the metal for it. See you up here. Stay warm out there be smart/safe.
