After a good stretch we are once again awaiting snow

Good Morning,

After a stretch of surprisingly great skiing, that I nursed back to life after a real wing dinger of a thawing storm, we are once again too bare bones to be called open. We had the best Christmas Week of skiing here that we have had in many a year. We are up to 25 days here in our ski season. Not too bad for December 31st. No complaints but we will be forced to endure yet another round of mild weather this week. Looks like some colder air will arrive for next weekend.

60 degrees in January? Weird.

Anyways.... With just a couple of inches and some cold weather you can bet I will be grooming it ou and making it nice for all da' people. I'll be keeping plenty busy this week throwing brush and cutting blown down trees that are still scattered around the woods trails. Endless fun here at Ole XC. All par for the course.

Thanks to everyone for coming up and using the trails. It gives all this work palpable purpose when I see happy people gliding along and enjoying this Mad River Valley Tradition which is pushing to be 50 years old. Amazing.
