Another 4 inches of snow overnight.
February 17, 2025
Another 4 inches of snow overnight. Storm total of around 16" of snow since Saturday night. That combined with all of the recent snows we have had, and there is some rather deep snow out there. If it snows any more we may loose the trails stakes! What a great problem to have.
I have been out grooming this morning and have focused my attention to the woods and the areas that will be out of the brisk south wind that has picked up. The woods will be the focus of grooming today mainly.
Recommended skiing route today will be.
Trail #5 in the woods out to the upper part of #6 and then making the loop to #7. Then into into #4 loops and back on #5 through the woods. That loop should be a great pick for today. It will keep you out of that breeze. I did do a pass with the groomer on the entire outer loop yesterday, Trails #6,#9 and #.10 It skied nice but now has some fresh snow on it. It was a fun ski yesterday afternoon. I will be looking to attack that again with the groomer at some point today. It would be a great "BC" type tour for a wider ski.
It is rather pleasant in the woods.. It should prove a great way to get outside today. Stop in for details.
The wood stove will be cranking hot drinks available too.
There is just a ton of beautiful powder everywhere. A winter wonderland for sure.
I will set track in the woods sections and beyond today. Grooming will be on going over the next few days. This week will be the best of the entire season........So far.
See you up here.
