Firm and fast
A less than ideal weather scenario yesterday with our few inches of snow replaced by a day of freezing rain, marginal temperatures and then a quick drop down to 12 degrees this morning. Things are pretty firm out there and the snowpack is thin with some earthen tones showing through. That being said I did do some grooming around Trail #2 and this morning and the groomer did an ok job of tilling, but things are fast and firm today. There is skiing however and some early skiers said it was fun. If you come up ski with caution and watch for ice spots as it is fast and there is zero snow cushion for any wipe outs. Looks like the coldest weather we have had in a few seasons will be barreling down on us tonight into tomorrow. Maybe it will squeeze some moisture out of the sky and put a little fresh pow on our trails.
Still looking for that bonafide snow storm to hit us just right. Season is still young so think snow folks!
